Hot Tubs in Alberta

Alberta.

Alberta winters test hot tubs harder than almost anywhere in North America. -40°C nights, wild chinook swings, weeks without a thaw. Energy-efficient by design, practically chemical-free, low-maintenance, and warranted for life — our HDPE shells and R-40 hard covers are built for exactly this. Call us: (587) 404-0088

Why Alberta is different

Alberta has some of the highest hot tub adoption in Canada, and some of the highest electricity rates. That combination is why insulation and cover quality matter so much here. A cheap tub in Calgary costs far more to run than a well-built one, every month, forever.

The coldest months are when hot tubs get used most. Roughly 70% of a tub's heat escapes through the top, so the R-40 cover with Power Clamps does the heavy lifting — backed by R-30 body insulation and a 2" air-chambered bottom to hold heat through chinook freeze-thaw swings.

All-in — power, chemicals and filters — most owners run $10 to $60 a month depending on model. On our E6 the power meter reads just over a dollar a day in winter, 60 to 70 cents in summer, about $25 a month. Full breakdown.

Why we built it

The people who buy these already own a hot tub.

What we see in Alberta buyers: most have owned a tub before, gotten tired of the running cost and the chemicals, and come looking for the one built to last. That's what an HDPE unibody with an R-40 cover and a lifetime warranty on the cover and structure is for.

Common Questions

Getting a hot tub in Alberta

How does delivery work to Alberta?
Delivery is a paid, scheduled step — we coordinate a date with you for any Alberta address and quote it based on your location. The tub sits on any flat surface, deck or crushed gravel, so there's no 5" concrete pad to pour. Full walkthrough here.
How long until I can use it after it arrives?
About 36 hours from delivery to your first soak — that's fill and heat-up time, and it's faster on 220V. You need a flat surface, a standard outlet (or a 220V circuit), and a garden hose. The tub is convertible 110V/220V, so there's no voltage to choose up front.
How well do hot tubs actually handle Alberta winters?
The coldest months are when hot tubs get used most. Since roughly 70% of a tub's heat escapes the top, the R-40 cover with Power Clamps, R-30 body insulation and a 2" air-chambered bottom hold heat through -40 nights and chinook swings. See our cold-climate guide.
What does it cost per month to run a hot tub in Alberta?
All-in — power, chemicals and filters — it runs $10 to $60 a month depending on model. On our E6 the power meter reads just over a dollar a day in winter and 60 to 70 cents in summer, about $25 a month. Full breakdown.
Does the warranty work the same across Canada?
Yes. Every Eco Spa carries a lifetime warranty on the cover and the entire structure — the only company that does that — regardless of province. Moving parts like jets and pumps are covered 2 years parts and labour on Gecko components. Warranty details.
