Hot Tubs · Calgary
Calgary winters hit -34°C. That's exactly why our R-40 cover and HDPE shell matter here. Energy-efficient, practically chemical-free, and low-maintenance — about $10 to $60 a month to run, depending on the model.
Why Eco Spa in Calgary
Calgary averages -8°C in winter and drops to -34°C in cold snaps. This is the best-insulated tub we sell: an R-40 cover compressed by patented Power Clamps, an R-30 body wrap, and a 2" air-chambered bottom. About 70% of a tub's heat escapes the top, so we put the insulation where it counts. Most owners run between $10 and $60 a month, all-in, depending on the model.
Freeze-protect mode auto-engages if water cools toward 0°C, so power outages up to 48 hours don't damage the plumbing. Calgary owners use their tubs more in winter than summer.
The HDPE unibody shell doesn't crack or craze through Alberta freeze-thaw cycles. No gel coat to blister, no acrylic to stress-fracture. Same material used in infrastructure that lives outdoors in this climate permanently.

Concrete patios, composite decks, pavers, and gravel pads all work as long as the surface is level and rated for filled weight (~3,500 lb for the E5/E6). Backyards near the Bow River valley are popular install spots. Most Calgary owners place their tub within 15 ft of an exterior wall for the easiest 110V outlet run.
